Joen Yö is a free urban festival held in the center of Joensuu. The event will be organized on Friday, August 18th.

In 2023 Joen Yö highlights the vibrant urban culture: light, sound, art, science, movement, emotions, and activities.

The market square stage offers performances from 3 PM to 10 PM. Pedestrian Street (Kauppakatu) will host the traditional Organization Boulevard, with nearly 50 organizations participating this year. In addition Central Park (Vapaudenpuisto) hosts a program of interest for the whole family.

In addition to the program taking place in the city center, Joen Yö is celebrated across the city as communities, artists, and restaurants organize their own special programs.

Joen Yö is funded by Joensuu's Cultural Services and produced by Joensuun Virta Oy.
